A defining moment came when Sagar had the opportunity to interact with a soldier belonging to the elite Parachute Regiment (Special Forces). The interaction had a profound impact on him. His perseverance eventually paid off when he cleared the Combined Defence Services Examination and secured recommendation at the Services Selection Board.
The SSB recommendation came in his third attempt, making the achievement particularly significant in the context of his journey. His persistence through successive attempts demonstrated his willingness to learn from setbacks and continue working towards the objective he had set for himself.
