Lieutenant General Sandeep Narang, SM, has taken over as the Commandant of the Military College of Materials Management (MCMM), succeeding Lieutenant General Sanjay Sethi, AVSM, VSM.
Lieutenant General Sukriti Singh Dahiya, SM, VSM, Officiating General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Army Training Command (ARTRAC), congratulated Lt Gen Narang on assuming the appointment and extended his best wishes for his tenure.
Lt Gen Narang took over the charge following the superannuation of Lt Gen Sanjay Sethi on August 31, 2026.
Lt Gen Sethi retired from the Indian Army after serving the nation for nearly four decades. During his military career, he held several important responsibilities, culminating in his tenure as Commandant of the Military College of Materials Management.
Located in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, the Military College of Materials Management is a premier training institution of the Indian Army. It plays an important role in professional military education, particularly in the fields of logistics, materials management and related specialised disciplines.
As Commandant, Lt Gen Sandeep Narang will lead the institution in its role of training and developing officers and personnel for increasingly complex logistics and materials-management requirements of the Indian Army.
