During the visit, Mrs Anupama Pushkar reiterated the importance of sustained support for veterans and serving personnel who require specialised rehabilitation and assistance. The engagement highlighted the broader welfare-oriented role undertaken by AWWA in supporting members of the armed forces community.

AWWA’s welfare initiatives encompass efforts aimed at supporting military families and promoting the wellbeing of personnel and their dependants. Visits to rehabilitation institutions provide an opportunity to interact with beneficiaries and understand their requirements while reinforcing the importance of continued institutional support.

The visit to Khadki also underscored the significance of rehabilitation as a continuing process rather than a one-time intervention. For personnel living with significant physical disabilities, access to appropriate rehabilitation facilities and sustained social and institutional support can contribute to greater independence and dignity.

The interaction also carried a message of recognition for the courage and sacrifice associated with military service. By engaging with personnel and families connected with rehabilitation institutions, AWWA seeks to reinforce the wider support network available to the armed forces community.

Mrs Anupama Pushkar’s visit reaffirmed Southern Star AWWA’s stated commitment to supporting, empowering and honouring those who have served the nation. It also highlighted the organisation’s focus on the dignity and welfare of soldiers and their families beyond their period of active service.

The visit to the Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre thus brought attention to the importance of rehabilitation, welfare and sustained support for members of the military community, while reaffirming AWWA’s continued endeavour to stand alongside those who have made sacrifices in the service of the nation.
