Brigadier NC Khuman, Group Commander, NCC Group Headquarters Guwahati, attended a meeting with Assam Government Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Biswajit Daimary at the Assam Secretariat to discuss important long-pending issues concerning the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and the Government of Assam.
The meeting focused on key issues relating to the NCC that have remained pending with the state government. The discussions provided an opportunity for the NCC Group Headquarters and the Sports and Youth Welfare Department to deliberate on these matters and consider issues requiring attention.
The meeting was also held ahead of the upcoming JSRD meeting, scheduled to take place in Guwahati on 15 October 2026. The interaction served as a precursor to the forthcoming meeting, providing an opportunity to discuss important NCC-related matters in advance.
Officials from the Sports and Youth Welfare Department of the Government of Assam also attended the meeting. Their participation brought together representatives of the NCC and the state government department concerned with sports and youth welfare to discuss the outstanding issues.
The discussions highlighted the importance of coordination between the NCC and the Assam Government in addressing pending matters and facilitating engagement ahead of the scheduled JSRD meeting.
With the JSRD meeting set to be held in Guwahati on 15 October 2026, the interaction at the Assam Secretariat marked a preparatory engagement focused on issues concerning the NCC and the state government.
