Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Northern Command (ArmyCdrNC), visited forward areas in the Poonch and Sunderbani sectors to review operational preparedness and assess the evolving security situation along the Line of Control (LoC).
During his visit, the Army Commander interacted with troops deployed in High Altitude Areas, commending their unwavering dedication and professionalism in maintaining operational readiness under challenging conditions.

A key highlight of the visit was Lt Gen Sharmaโs interaction with the newly raised ASHNI Platoon, where he reviewed the latest Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) capabilities being deployed to strengthen surveillance and precision strike operations.

He appreciated the troops for their high standards of operational preparedness, enhanced situational awareness, and growing integration of technology-driven warfare systems. The Army Commander also lauded the formations for maintaining robust surveillance networks, rapid response capabilities, and combat readiness to counter evolving threats.

Lt Gen Sharma reaffirmed the Northern Commandโs commitment to defending the nationโs frontiers and emphasized the importance of constant innovation and technological adaptation in preparing for future warfare domains.
