Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), is on an official visit to Egypt at the invitation of AVM Amr Abdel Rahman Saqr, Commander of the Egyptian Air Force (EAF), aimed at further strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two air forces.

On the first day of his visit, the CAS was briefed in detail on Egyptian Air Force operations, gaining insights into the EAF’s operational philosophy, force structure, and mission capabilities. He also visited Berighat Air Base, where he reviewed infrastructure and operational facilities, underscoring the growing professional exchanges between the two services.

The visit featured Staff Talks between senior officers of the Indian Air Force and the EAF, focusing on enhancing cooperation in areas such as training, joint exercises, operational synergy, and knowledge sharing. These interactions reflect the shared commitment of both air forces to deepen defence engagement and interoperability.

Air Chief Marshal AP Singh also paid homage at the Heliopolis War Memorial, honouring the sacrifices of Egyptian servicemen and reaffirming mutual respect for military traditions and values.
The visit highlights India and Egypt’s expanding strategic partnership and the Indian Air Force’s emphasis on building strong defence ties with friendly foreign air forces to promote regional stability and collective security.
