Lt Gen Rajan Sharawat, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Rising Star Corps, reviewed the operational preparedness of troops deployed in the Bani–Machhedi sector of Kathua district.
During the visit, Lt Gen Sharawat assessed the prevailing security environment, operational posture, and readiness of units deployed in the area. He interacted with officers and soldiers on the ground, reviewed ongoing measures, and evaluated preparedness to respond swiftly and effectively to any emerging challenges.

The GOC commended the troops for their high standards of professionalism, discipline, and unwavering commitment towards safeguarding the nation. He emphasised the importance of sustained vigilance, mission focus, and morale while operating in challenging terrain and conditions.

The visit reaffirmed the Rising Star Corps’ resolve to maintain robust operational readiness and security dominance, motivating troops to continue upholding the finest traditions of the Indian Army in defence of the nation.
