Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Southern Command, visited L&T Precision Engineering & Systems at Talegaon near Pune to review the industryโs indigenous defence manufacturing capabilities.
During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed on a wide spectrum of state-of-the-art defence systems being developed by Larsen & Toubro, including artillery guns and launchers, air defence systems, combat engineering solutions, and advanced radar systems. The L&T team also showcased its cutting-edge manufacturing facilities, advanced simulation tools, and comprehensive testing infrastructure that enable end-to-end development of complex defence platforms.

The visit included detailed interactions on emerging and futuristic capability requirements of the Indian Army, along with an overview of next-generation platforms currently under development at L&T to meet evolving operational challenges.

Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth appreciated L&Tโs sustained contribution towards strengthening self-reliance in defence manufacturing and reaffirmed the role of Indian industry as a key enabler in building a technology-enabled and future-ready Army. He emphasised that such collaborations are vital to advancing the national vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and enhancing Indiaโs defence preparedness through indigenisation and innovation.
