Lt Gen Devendra Sharma, PVSM, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Army Training Command (ARTRAC), visited the Indian Military Academy at Dehradun on 03 February 2026.
During the visit, the Army Commander reviewed training facilities and appreciated the Academyโs state-of-the-art training infrastructure and rigorous training standards, which are designed to prepare Officer Cadets for the evolving challenges of modern warfare. He commended the faculty and staff for maintaining a training ecosystem that blends tradition with contemporary military education.

Interacting with the faculty and Officer Cadets, Lt Gen Devendra Sharma emphasised the importance of upholding the highest ideals of honour, professionalism, and selfless service. He urged the future leaders of the Indian Army to remain steadfast in values-driven leadership while embracing innovation and adaptability on the modern battlefield.

On the occasion, the Veteran Achiever Award was conferred upon Subedar (Honorary Captain) Raghubir Singh Bhandari (Retd) of the 15 Garhwal Rifles for his outstanding post-retirement service. His sustained efforts in resolving pension, reimbursement, and ECHS-related grievances for over 300 ex-servicemen and widows were lauded as an inspiring example of service beyond the uniform.
The visit reaffirmed ARTRACโs commitment to excellence in officer training and the Indian Armyโs enduring focus on ethical leadership, professional mastery, and a strong connect with veterans and their welfare.
