Brigadier Prasanna Kumar assumed the appointment of Commandant and Dean of the Army Dental Centre (Research & Referral) at Delhi Cantt on 07 February 2026, taking over from Brig SS Chopra.
An accomplished Orthodontist, Brig Prasanna Kumar brings with him rich clinical expertise and extensive administrative experience to one of the premier institutions of the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS). His appointment is expected to further strengthen specialised dental care, academic excellence, and professional training at the centre.
Surg Vice Admiral Arti Sarin, Director General Armed Forces Medical Services, conveyed her best wishes to Brig Prasanna Kumar on assuming this important leadership role and expressed confidence in his ability to lead the institution towards higher standards of clinical excellence and service delivery.
