Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, Army Commander, Northern Command, visited a strategic logistics echelon in Kashmir to review its operational preparedness and ability to sustain forces deployed in a challenging operational environment.

During the visit, Lt Gen Sharma was briefed on the echelonโs role in ensuring uninterrupted logistics support, technical readiness and rapid responsiveness to operational requirements across the region. He reviewed key facilities and assessed the robustness of systems in place to support high-tempo operations.

Interacting with officers and troops, the Army Commander conveyed that a secure, resilient and responsive logistics chain forms the foundation of decisive combat capability. He underscored the critical importance of logistics in enabling operational success, especially in future conflict scenarios characterised by speed, precision and multi-domain operations.

Commending the unit, Lt Gen Sharma praised its strong and technically sound establishment, highlighting its ability to adapt to evolving demands of future warfare. He encouraged all ranks to continue maintaining high standards of professionalism, innovation and readiness to support the Indian Armyโs operational effectiveness in Northern Command.
