Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Upendra Dwivedi visited the Australian Defence College as part of his ongoing official engagement in Australia, underscoring the deepening defence and professional military education ties between India and Australia.

During the visit, General Dwivedi interacted with Major General Martin White, Commander, Australian Defence College, and Brigadier Lara Troy, Commandant, Australian War College. The discussions focused on strengthening institutional cooperation, professional military education and shared perspectives on contemporary security challenges.

The COAS later addressed the faculty and student officers of the Australian Command and Staff College (ACSC), where he shared insights on modern leadership, emerging strategic dynamics and the evolving role of armed forces in a complex and rapidly changing security environment.
In his address, General Dwivedi emphasised the importance of jointness, adaptability and continuous learning, highlighting professional military education as a critical enabler in developing future-ready military leaders capable of operating across domains and responding effectively to global security challenges.
