Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan visited Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), underscoring the Armed Forces’ strong commitment to strengthening indigenous defence manufacturing and accelerating self-reliance in critical aerospace capabilities.

During the visit, General Chauhan interacted with senior HAL leadership and reviewed ongoing programmes contributing to the development, production and sustainment of key military aviation platforms. The engagement highlighted the importance of timely delivery, quality assurance and sustained innovation to meet the evolving operational requirements of the Armed Forces.

The CDS emphasised the growing synergy between the Armed Forces and India’s defence industry as a vital enabler of capability development, technological advancement and long-term operational readiness. He noted that close collaboration between users and manufacturers is essential to build robust, future-ready platforms.
