Lieutenant General Abhijit S Pendharkar, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Spear Corps, conducted a comprehensive review of the security situation and operational preparedness across key locations in Leimakhong, Moreh, and Churachandpur in Manipur.
During the visit, the GOC assessed ongoing operations, force readiness, and measures undertaken to maintain stability in sensitive areas. He was briefed on the prevailing security environment, coordination mechanisms, and initiatives aimed at sustaining a robust security posture while remaining responsive to evolving challenges.
Lt Gen Pendharkar also reviewed public outreach and engagement initiatives designed to build trust with local communities. Emphasising the importance of people-centric operations, he highlighted the role of effective communication, empathy, and cooperation in strengthening long-term peace and security.
