The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially postponed the release of the CAPF Assistant Commandants (AC) Examination 2026 notification, citing administrative reasons. The notification, which was earlier scheduled to be published on February 18, 2026, will now be issued at a later date.
In an official update, the Commission stated that the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination, 2026, will be “notified in due course.” The revised notification, once released, will be available on the official UPSC website.
Due to the postponement, the online application process for UPSC CAPF AC Recruitment 2026 has not yet begun. Aspirants awaiting the registration window have been advised to regularly check the UPSC portal for updates on the revised notification date and application schedule.
Importantly, the postponement does not affect the examination timeline. As per the latest UPSC calendar, the CAPF Assistant Commandants written examination will be conducted as scheduled on July 19, 2026.
Details regarding the total number of vacancies and their distribution across the Central Armed Police Forces will be released along with the revised notification. The application link will remain inactive until the formal advertisement is issued, after which the registration process will commence.
