Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, Army Commander, Northern Command, visited North Kashmir to review the anti-infiltration grid and evaluate operational preparedness along the Line of Control (LoC).

During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed on the prevailing security situation, counter-infiltration measures and the robustness of surveillance and response mechanisms deployed in forward areas. He assessed the effectiveness of the layered defence architecture designed to prevent infiltration attempts across the LoC.

Lt Gen Sharma interacted with troops deployed in challenging terrain and commended them for their battle-hardened resilience, indomitable courage and steadfast commitment to duty. He acknowledged their high morale and professionalism in maintaining operational dominance in a sensitive environment.

Emphasising the evolving character of warfare, the Army Commander exhorted all ranks to continuously refine their professional skills and integrate emerging technologies into operational practices. He stressed that sustained vigilance, technological adoption and tactical excellence are vital to remain mission-ready and formidable in defence of the nation.
