Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh, Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), emphasised the importance of jointness among the armed forces and studying past conflicts to evolve future military capabilities during his address at the Joint Operational Capability Assessment Programme (JOCAP) at the Army War College (AWC).

During the interaction, the Air Chief highlighted that analysing previous wars and operational experiences is essential for developing effective strategies and capabilities suited to modern warfare.

He stressed that the armed forces must remain focused on core operational tasks and realistic training in contested environments, which are critical for achieving future military objectives.

Air Chief Marshal Singh also underscored the growing importance of inter-service cooperation and integrated planning, noting that jointness between the Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force is vital for addressing complex security challenges.
