Focus on Combat Capability Enhancement
During the visit, the GOC, Gajraj Corps briefed the Army Commander on current developments and initiatives aimed at strengthening combat capabilities across the Corps’ operational zone.

Infrastructure and Border Development
Lt Gen RC Tiwari dedicated a newly established Transit Facility in the Kameng Himalayas, enhancing logistical and operational support in forward areas.
He also appreciated the establishment of the Border Brew Café at Zemithang, an initiative managed by the local Monpa women community. The project not only promotes local livelihoods and culture but also supports the government’s Vibrant Village Programme.

Commendation for Professionalism
The Army Commander interacted with officers and commended Gajraj Corps for their professionalism, dedication and consistently high operational standards.
The visit highlighted the Indian Army’s dual focus on operational excellence and socio-economic development of border regions.
