MoD Signs ₹1,950 Crore Deal with BEL for Indigenous Mountain Radars for IAF

DRDO-Developed Systems to Strengthen Air Defence Under Aatmanirbhar Bharat Initiative.

In a major boost to indigenous defence capabilities, the Ministry of Defence has signed a ₹1,950 crore contract with Bharat Electronics Limited for the procurement of two advanced Mountain Radars for the Indian Air Force.

The contract, signed under the Buy (Indian–Indigenously Designed, Developed and Manufactured) category, reinforces the government’s push towards Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India in defence production.
