Hailing from Begusarai, Bihar, Major Singh was grievously injured during an anti-terror operation in Shopian, South Kashmir, in 2017 while serving in the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME). Despite sustaining serious injuries in the line of duty, he demonstrated extraordinary determination to rebuild his life and pursue a new path of service.

Undeterred by his setbacks, he prepared for one of India’s toughest examinations and successfully secured a place in the civil services. He is now set to join the prestigious Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie for training.
