The Award Distribution Ceremony for 22 Officer Cadets of TES-47 undergoing training at the Cadets Training Wing (CTW) of the Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME), Secunderabad, was conducted on May 8, 2026.

Lieutenant General Neeraj Varshney, AVSM, VSM, Commandant of MCEME and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of EME, presented medals and distinctions to cadets for excellence in academics, sports, physical training, outdoor activities, weapon training, and drill.

Wing Cadet Captain Rahul Kumar was awarded the prestigious GOC-in-C ARTRAC Gold Medal for outstanding overall performance. Wing Cadet Adjutant Ayush Singh Bisht received the GOC-in-C ARTRAC Silver Medal, while Wing Cadet Quarter Master Shivam Yadav was awarded the Bronze Medal.

Arjun Platoon, known as “The Apaches,” was presented the GOC-in-C ARTRAC Banner for the Spring Term 2026 in recognition of its overall excellence.

Addressing the cadets, Lt Gen Varshney stated that four years of rigorous military and technical training had transformed them into confident leaders capable of operating and leading independently. Referring to lessons from Operation Sindoor, he stressed the importance of adapting to rapidly evolving technology-driven warfare.

He urged the cadets to remain committed to hard work, professional excellence, integrity, and lifelong learning while upholding the motto “Karm Hi Dharm” in service of the nation.
The General Officer later visited an Arts and Photography Exhibition showcasing the creative talents of the cadets and interacted with their parents and family members during the ceremony.
