Pune, 20 May 2026: The prestigious Passing Out Parade of the 150th Course of the National Defence Academy will be held on 30 May 2026 at the iconic Khetarpal Parade Ground, NDA, Khadakwasla, Pune. The ceremony will mark the culmination of the Spring Term 2026 training cycle and will witness approximately 355 cadets of the Army, Navy and Air Force passing out from the country’s premier tri-services military training institution.
General Upendra Dwivedi, PVSM, AVSM, Chief of the Army Staff, will review the parade as the Reviewing Officer. His presence at the event will add great significance to the occasion, as the graduating cadets prepare to take the next step in their journey toward becoming officers in the Indian Armed Forces.
The Passing Out Parade is one of the most important ceremonial events in the life of an NDA cadet. It represents the successful completion of years of intense military training, academic education, physical conditioning, discipline and character-building at the Academy. For the cadets, it is a moment of pride, honour and emotion as they march past the Quarterdeck for the final time before moving on to their respective pre-commissioning training academies.
Prior to the Passing Out Parade, the Convocation Ceremony of the 150th Course will be conducted on 29 May 2026 at Habibullah Hall, NDA. Dr. Kiran Bedi, IPS (Retd), Former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest and address the graduating cadets. The ceremony will recognise the academic accomplishments of the cadets and celebrate their successful completion of the academic curriculum at the Academy.
The National Defence Academy, under the command of Vice Admiral Anil Jaggi, AVSM, continues to uphold its rich legacy of producing future military leaders for the nation. The Academy has, over the decades, trained generations of officers who have gone on to serve with distinction in the Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force.
Widely regarded as the cradle of military leadership, the National Defence Academy is India’s premier tri-services training institution and one of the finest military academies in the world. The Academy provides cadets with a unique environment where young aspirants from the three services train together, learn the values of jointmanship, and develop the qualities required for leadership in the Defence Forces.
The training at NDA is designed to prepare cadets not only as future officers but also as responsible leaders of character. The curriculum combines military training, academics, outdoor activities, physical endurance, discipline, leadership development and moral values. The cadets undergo a demanding schedule that tests their mental strength, physical fitness, decision-making ability and commitment to service.
The Passing Out Parade of the 150th Course will feature an impressive military parade, inspection of contingents, presentation of medals and awards, fly-pasts by military aircraft and helicopters, and the traditional Antim Pag ceremony. The Antim Pag, or final step, is one of the most emotional moments of the parade, symbolising the cadets’ final march as NDA trainees before they proceed to their respective service academies.
For the proud parents and families of the cadets, the parade will be a deeply memorable occasion. It will mark the transformation of young cadets into future military leaders who will soon shoulder the responsibility of serving the nation in uniform. The event will also be a moment of pride for instructors and staff of the Academy, who have played a crucial role in shaping the cadets during their training journey.
The 150th Course Passing Out Parade will once again reflect the highest traditions of the National Defence Academy, where discipline, honour, courage and service before self remain the guiding principles. As the cadets pass out from NDA, they will carry forward the Academy’s legacy and prepare for the next phase of their military careers in service of the nation.
