Major General Sudhanshu Sharma, SM, VSM, Chief of Staff of the Fire and Fury Corps, visited the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) and the Ladakh State Data Centre (LSDC) to review ongoing initiatives related to disaster management, cyber security, and digital infrastructure in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
During the visit, detailed presentations were delivered by Dr Stanzin Passang at the Emergency Operations Centre and Mr Skalzang Dawa at the Ladakh State Data Centre.

At the EOC, officials showcased integrated disaster management systems, live warning mechanisms, and the upcoming SMS-based alert system designed to ensure timely response and effective disaster mitigation in remote and vulnerable regions.

At the Ladakh State Data Centre, demonstrations were conducted on secure hosting of government websites and applications, advanced cyber security architecture, and automated systems for blocking unauthorised access and malicious cyber activities.

The visit highlighted the growing synergy between the Indian Army and the Ladakh administration in strengthening disaster preparedness, cyber resilience, and civilian welfare support in strategically important border areas.
