Lieutenant General V M Bhuvana Krishnan, Army Commander of the Eastern Command, visited Army and Assam Rifles formations in Manipur to review the prevailing security situation and operational preparedness in the region.
During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed on the current operational dynamics, deployment measures, and ongoing efforts aimed at maintaining stability and security in the state.
Lt Gen Krishnan also interacted with troops deployed in operational areas and appreciated the formations for maintaining high standards of readiness, professionalism, and unwavering commitment towards operational duties.
The visit highlighted the continued focus of the Indian Army and Assam Rifles on ensuring operational preparedness, effective coordination, and sustained vigilance in the region.
