Shri Sanjay Gunjiyal, IPS, Additional Director General (Headquarters) of the Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), along with Shri Manu Maharaaj, Inspector General of Northern Frontier, visited Mana Pass and forward Border Outposts (BOPs) of 23 Battalion and 8th Battalion ITBP.
During the visit, the senior officers reviewed the operational preparedness and deployment readiness of the units stationed in the strategically important high-altitude border region.

The delegation also interacted with personnel of the Indo Tibetan Border Police, Indian Army, and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), appreciating their dedication, professionalism, and commitment while operating under challenging terrain and weather conditions.
A Sainik Sammelan was also addressed at Malari, where the officers motivated troops and highlighted the importance of operational vigilance, inter-agency coordination, and high morale in safeguarding the nation’s borders.

The visit underscored the continued focus on strengthening border security, disaster response coordination, and troop welfare in remote Himalayan sectors.
