The Senior Officers’ Course conducted at the ASC Centre and College, Bengaluru, culminated on May 25, 2026, with participation from officers of the Indian Army and officers from the friendly foreign country of Sri Lanka.
The Valedictory Address was delivered by Lieutenant General JK Gera, Commandant of the institution, who encouraged officers to focus on domain specialisation and professional excellence while training troops under their command.
Lt Gen Gera emphasised the importance of developing every soldier into a master of their trade to effectively meet the demands of the rapidly evolving operational environment and modern battlefield challenges.
Colonel Pradeep Singh was adjudged the Best Student of the course, while Colonel WHMIU Bandara, USP, LSO of the Sri Lanka Army, was awarded the title of Best Foreign Officer of the Course.
The course highlighted the growing emphasis on professional military education, leadership development, and international military cooperation through training exchanges and collaborative learning initiatives.
