Lieutenant General VMB Krishnan, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C), Eastern Command, visited Spear Corps and the Headquarters of Inspector General Assam Rifles (North) in Nagaland to review the prevailing security situation and operational preparedness.
During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed on the security environment, deployment of forces and measures being undertaken to maintain operational readiness in the region.
Lt Gen Krishnan also interacted with troops deployed in forward areas and commended them for their professionalism, dedication and unwavering commitment to duty in safeguarding national security.
The visit reaffirmed the Indian Army’s continued focus on maintaining a high level of operational preparedness and ensuring effective coordination in the strategically important North Eastern region.
