Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Krishna Swaminathan visited the Headquarters of Central Command (Surya Command) in Lucknow on 6 July 2026, where he interacted with Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C), Central Command.
The high-level interaction focused on enhancing inter-service synergy, advancing joint training initiatives and strengthening integrated operational preparedness to address emerging security challenges and the evolving character of modern warfare.

During the visit, Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta briefed the Chief of the Naval Staff on Central Command’s key operational capabilities, transformation initiatives and ongoing efforts to build a future-ready force. He reaffirmed the Indian Army’s commitment to seamless integration and closer cooperation with the sister services.
The engagement underscored the Armed Forces’ shared vision of promoting jointmanship, technology-driven capability development and integrated operations across land, maritime, air, cyber and space domains, in line with India’s drive towards creating agile and future-ready armed forces.
