Lieutenant General Rajesh Pushkar, AVSM, VSM, Army Commander, Southern Command, visited the Mechanised Infantry Centre & School (MIC&S) at Ahilyanagar to review modern training initiatives and state-of-the-art infrastructure aimed at enhancing combat readiness.
During the visit, the Army Commander inspected key training facilities, including the Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality (AR/VR) Laboratory and the Combat Simulation Zone, which are designed to provide immersive and technology-driven training for mechanised infantry personnel.
Lt Gen Rajesh Pushkar was briefed on the institution’s adoption of advanced training methodologies, simulation technologies and innovative instructional practices to prepare soldiers for the evolving character of modern warfare.
The visit underscored the Indian Army’s continued focus on technology-enabled training, adaptive learning and future-ready warfighting capabilities, reinforcing its commitment to building a highly skilled and operationally prepared mechanised force capable of meeting emerging battlefield challenges.
