Lieutenant General J. Debnath assumed command of the Army Medical Corps (AMC) Centre & College, Lucknow, on 1 August 2026, following his promotion to the rank of Lieutenant General. Throughout his distinguished career, Lt Gen Debnath has served in a wide range of operational and administrative roles, making significant contributions to military healthcare, medical training and the delivery of quality healthcare services to serving personnel, veterans and their families. His extensive experience spans frontline operational medical support, specialist clinical care, academic instruction and institutional leadership.
