Major General Mandeep Pal Singh Gill, VSM, General Officer Commanding, Uttarakhand Sub Area, visited the Public Relations Unit in Dehradun, where he reviewed the functioning of the unit and interacted with its personnel.
During the visit, Maj Gen Gill was briefed by the Public Relations Officer on the activities and responsibilities of the Public Relations Unit. The interaction provided an opportunity to review the unit’s role in effectively communicating the activities and initiatives of the Armed Forces.
Maj Gen Gill also interacted with the troops and appreciated their professionalism, dedication and commitment to their responsibilities. He commended the team for its efforts in maintaining high standards while upholding the proud traditions and values of the Armed Forces.
The visit also carried special significance as Maj Gen Gill is scheduled to superannuate on August 31, 2026, marking the conclusion of his distinguished military career.
On behalf of the Spokesperson, Ministry of Defence, a memento was presented to Maj Gen Gill as a mark of appreciation and gratitude for his dedicated service to the nation.
The occasion provided an opportunity for the personnel of the Public Relations Unit to acknowledge his leadership and contribution, while extending their best wishes as he prepares to enter the next chapter of his life.
Maj Gen Gill was wished a dignified and well-deserved retirement, along with sincere gratitude for his distinguished service and commitment to the Armed Forces and the nation.
