Lt Gen Madanraj Pande, General Officer Commanding, Fire & Fury Corps, visited troops deployed in the forward areas of the Batalik Sub Sector and reviewed the prevailing security environment and operational preparedness of formations operating in the challenging high-altitude terrain.

During the visit, the GOC assessed the readiness of troops deployed in forward positions and reviewed measures being undertaken to maintain a high level of vigilance along the Line of Control. The assessment focused on ensuring that formations remain prepared to respond effectively to emerging operational challenges.

The Batalik sector presents demanding conditions due to its high-altitude terrain and harsh environment, placing significant physical and operational demands on personnel deployed in the area. Sustained readiness and effective deployment therefore remain critical to maintaining security along the frontier.

Lt Gen Pande interacted with troops serving along the Line of Control and commended their steadfast commitment, professionalism and unwavering devotion to duty despite the difficult conditions.

The GOC emphasised the importance of maintaining a high state of combat readiness and vigilance at all times. He exhorted personnel to remain alert and prepared to meet emerging challenges in the operational environment.

During his interaction, Lt Gen Pande also stressed the need to leverage emerging technologies and innovative solutions to enhance operational effectiveness. The emphasis on technology absorption reflects the Army’s continuing efforts to improve capabilities and strengthen battlefield preparedness.

The visit provided an opportunity for the Corps Commander to directly interact with troops deployed in forward areas and acknowledge their contribution to maintaining security in one of the most challenging operational environments.

The visit reaffirmed Fire & Fury Corps’ focus on operational preparedness, technological integration and continuous capability enhancement while maintaining a high level of vigilance along the Line of Control.
