The successful completion of the trade phase was marked by a Passing-Out Parade at the Medical Training Centre, providing the trainees an opportunity to formally mark the culmination of their specialised training. The parade was reviewed by Air Vice Marshal SGS Datta, Principal Medical Officer, Headquarters Training Command, in the presence of dignitaries from Indian Air Force and Army units in Bengaluru.

The completion of trade training represents a significant stage in the professional development of Medical Assistants, equipping them with the specialised knowledge and skills required to perform their duties in the military medical environment. Their training forms part of the broader human-resource development framework that supports the Indian Air Force’s medical services and the health and welfare of its personnel.

The Passing-Out Parade also served as an occasion to recognise trainees who demonstrated exemplary performance during the training period. Outstanding performers were felicitated in several categories, acknowledging their achievements across different aspects of the course.

Leading Aircraftsman Agilan V was adjudged Best in Trade, recognising his overall performance in the specialised trade training. Leading Aircraftsman Rakshith Kumar R earned the distinction of Best in Course, marking him out as the leading performer across the course.

Aircraftsman Gokul K was awarded Best in Emergency Medical Technician (Basic), recognising his performance in the emergency medical training component. Aircraftsman Jagannath M was adjudged Best in Ground Service Training, highlighting his achievement in the ground service training segment.

Stunts Being Performed

The recognition of these trainees reflected the emphasis placed on competence and excellence across different areas of training. Such distinctions also encourage trainees to maintain high standards of professionalism and performance as they move from the training environment into their respective assignments.

Addressing the trainees, the importance of continuing to strive for excellence and upholding the highest standards of professionalism in their future endeavours was emphasised. The exhortation highlighted that completion of formal training is only the beginning of a career in which personnel will be expected to translate their training into effective service in demanding operational and institutional environments.

Medical personnel occupy an important support role within the Armed Forces, where the availability of trained and competent medical staff is essential to maintaining the health, fitness and operational effectiveness of service personnel. Medical Assistants can contribute to healthcare delivery across a range of military environments and form an important part of the larger medical support structure.

The training conducted at the Medical Training Centre therefore has significance beyond the classroom and training facilities. It prepares personnel to function within the disciplined and highly structured environment of the Armed Forces while developing the professional competencies required for their assigned medical responsibilities.

The participation of dignitaries from both the Indian Air Force and Army units in Bengaluru also reflected the broader military ecosystem within which trained medical personnel serve. Military healthcare requires coordination and professionalism across different formations and establishments, making high-quality training an important foundation for effective medical support.

Officers with Family Members

Another notable highlight of the Passing-Out Parade was the presence of identical twins among the trainees who successfully passed out from the Medical Training Centre. Their simultaneous completion of training added a distinctive and memorable element to the ceremony and became one of the highlights of the occasion.

The successful completion of the trade phase by all 144 Medical Assistants marks the transition of the trainees from specialised training to the next stage of their professional careers. Their preparation at MTC Bengaluru has provided them with the foundation to undertake their responsibilities within the Indian Air Force medical support system.

The achievements of the best-performing trainees, meanwhile, underscore the importance of dedication, discipline and consistent performance during military training. The recognition of excellence in trade, overall course performance, emergency medical training and ground service training demonstrates the comprehensive nature of the preparation undertaken at the centre.

The Passing-Out Parade ultimately marked both an ending and a beginning for the 144 trainees. While it brought their trade phase training to a formal conclusion, it also signalled their readiness to take on professional responsibilities as trained Medical Assistants of the Indian Air Force.

As they move into their future assignments, the trainees carry with them the skills and professional standards developed at the Medical Training Centre. Their ability to maintain those standards and continue learning will remain central to their contribution to the Air Force medical services.

The successful completion of the course reaffirms the Indian Air Force’s emphasis on specialised training, professional excellence and human-resource development. For the 144 newly trained Medical Assistants, the Passing-Out Parade at Bengaluru marks the beginning of a new phase of service, carrying forward the commitment to professionalism and excellence expected of Air Warriors.
