The Indian Army’s White Knight Corps successfully conducted the Inno-Yodhha I3R&D Competition 2026-27 at Nagrota, providing a platform for young innovators in uniform to showcase indigenous technologies aimed at addressing emerging operational challenges.
The competition featured innovative projects across several critical areas of modern warfare, including Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), Counter-UAS technologies, Artificial Intelligence-based autonomous systems and stealth technology.
Young innovators from the Army presented solutions designed to enhance operational effectiveness while reducing dependence on externally sourced technologies. The initiative highlighted the growing emphasis on developing practical, indigenous solutions based on requirements identified directly by troops and formations.
The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of White Knight Corps interacted with the participating teams during the event and reviewed the technologies and concepts displayed at the competition.
He commended the participants for their ingenuity, hard work and innovative spirit in developing solutions capable of addressing operational challenges faced by troops in the field.
The Inno-Yodhha initiative encourages soldiers and officers to transform operational experience into technological solutions, particularly in areas where rapidly evolving technologies are changing the nature of warfare.
The competition also reinforces the Indian Army’s focus on innovation and indigenisation as it seeks to incorporate emerging technologies into operational roles.
By encouraging young innovators in uniform to develop solutions around UAS, Counter-UAS, artificial intelligence, autonomous platforms and stealth technologies, White Knight Corps is seeking to turn battlefield requirements into indigenous capabilities.
The initiative aligns with the broader Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision of strengthening domestic defence capabilities and promoting greater technological self-reliance within the Armed Forces.
