Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Central Command, visited the Golden Key Division and reviewed its combat readiness, operational preparedness and ongoing initiatives focused on technology absorption and integration.
During the visit, the Army Commander assessed the formation’s preparedness and its efforts to incorporate modern technologies into operational and support systems. The review focused on the manner in which technological capabilities are being translated into operational effectiveness and sustained combat readiness.
Lt Gen Sengupta appreciated the formation’s professionalism, commitment and efforts towards the effective adoption of modern technologies. A particular focus of the visit was the Command Drone Repair, Fabrication & Training Facility. The facility represents an effort towards greater self-reliance in maintaining and developing drone-related capabilities and is intended to support mission readiness by providing technical and training support within the formation.
The emphasis on drone repair and fabrication reflects the growing requirement for units to sustain technology-enabled capabilities closer to the operational environment. Developing such in-house expertise can help formations address equipment-related requirements while building technical proficiency among personnel.
