Air Marshal Vivek Hande, Director General Medical Services (Air), visited Command Hospital Air Force, Bengaluru, on September 21, 2026, marking his maiden visit to the Indian Air Force’s flagship hospital after assuming his appointment on September 1.
During the visit, Air Marshal Hande toured various departments and wards of the hospital and interacted with personnel involved in providing healthcare services to Armed Forces personnel and their dependants.
He also reviewed on site the progress of the upcoming new hospital complex and took stock of the development of the facility.
Addressing hospital personnel, the DGMS (Air) appreciated their professional commitment and dedication towards providing quality patient care.
Air Marshal Hande urged all personnel to maintain a high degree of operational readiness while continuing to uphold professional standards in healthcare delivery.
The visit highlighted the importance of robust medical infrastructure, operational preparedness and quality healthcare in supporting Indian Air Force personnel and their families.
