Lieutenant General Rajesh Pushkar, AVSM, VSM, Army Commander, Southern Command, visited formations and units at Nasirabad Military Station in Rajasthan, where he reviewed operational readiness and ongoing capability development initiatives.
During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed on measures being undertaken to strengthen combat preparedness, with particular emphasis on next-generation training and the refinement of Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs).
The initiatives are aimed at preparing troops to operate effectively in an evolving security environment while leveraging emerging technologies and contemporary operational concepts to enhance battlefield effectiveness.
Lt Gen Rajesh Pushkar also visited the Bhairav Battalion, known as “The Desert Falcons”, and reviewed its operational capabilities and preparedness.
The battalion’s “Tech-Enabled, Agile & Lethal” profile highlights the integration of technology, precision and combat readiness, designed to enable troops to undertake decisive operations across challenging terrain and demanding operational conditions.
The visit underscored Southern Command’s focus on technology-driven capability enhancement, realistic training and continuous refinement of operational procedures to meet emerging battlefield challenges.
Commending the formations and units for maintaining high standards of operational readiness, Lt Gen Rajesh Pushkar exhorted all ranks to remain physically fit, mentally resilient and operationally agile.
He emphasised the need for troops to remain prepared to respond swiftly and decisively to emerging challenges while maintaining professionalism, confidence and a high state of combat readiness.
