Brigadier Rajat Tyagi, Commander, Shatrujeet Brigade, flagged off a White Water Rafting Expedition commemorating the 85th Raising Day of the brigade, celebrating its enduring legacy of courage, camaraderie and adventure.
The expedition, organised as part of the celebrations, will cover a distance of 150 kilometres from Rudraprayag to Rishikesh along the River Ganga. The team embarked on the journey carrying forward the spirit of “Shatrujeet” and the brigade’s ethos, “Men Apart, Every Man An Emperor.”
The rafting expedition will take the participants through challenging stretches of the River Ganga, including Grade II and Grade III rapids. The demanding route is intended to test the endurance, teamwork and resilience of the participating personnel.
The expedition combines physical challenge and adventure with the commemoration of the Shatrujeet Brigade’s 85-year legacy. The journey through the Himalayan river terrain is also aimed at reinforcing the spirit of adventure associated with the airborne fraternity.
As the team navigates the 150-km route from Rudraprayag towards Rishikesh, the challenging river conditions will require close coordination and teamwork among the participants. The Grade II and III rapids form a key part of the expedition’s demanding route.
The expedition reflects the brigade’s emphasis on courage, camaraderie and adventure while marking its 85th Raising Day. The undertaking also provides the participating personnel an opportunity to test themselves in a challenging outdoor environment.
