Bengaluru, October 18, 2026: The Air Force Technical College (AFTC), Bengaluru, has signed three Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with leading aeronautical, technical and research organisations to strengthen its training infrastructure and enhance collaboration in advanced aviation technologies.
The agreements were signed with the Directorate General of Aeronautical Quality Assurance (DGAQA), HAL Management Academy (HMA), and IIT Madras C-DOT Samgnya Technologies Foundation, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s efforts to strengthen technical education and professional training within the Indian Air Force.
The MoUs were exchanged between the Commandant of Air Force Technical College and senior representatives of the participating organisations. These included C Ramesh, Director General of DGAQA; Arup Kumar Mallick, Executive Director of HAL Management Academy; and Ravindra Barlingay, CEO of Samgnya Technologies Foundation.

The partnerships aim to bring together the Indian Air Force, premier aeronautical institutions and India’s research ecosystem to promote knowledge sharing, technical cooperation and the development of advanced training capabilities.
Through these collaborations, AFTC is expected to benefit from greater institutional engagement with organisations specialising in aeronautical quality assurance, aerospace technology, professional development and research-driven innovation.

The agreements are also expected to create new opportunities for cooperation in technical education and training, helping the college enhance its capabilities in line with evolving aviation and defence technology requirements.
The initiative reflects the Indian Air Force’s continued emphasis on strengthening technical expertise and fostering closer cooperation between military training establishments, industry and academic research institutions.
The signing of the three MoUs represents an important step in AFTC Bengaluru’s efforts to modernise its training ecosystem and prepare Air Force technical personnel for the demands of an increasingly technology-driven operational environment.
