Officer Cadets from the Cadets Training Wing (CTW), Pune, visited the Indian Army’s Shivneri Brigade as part of their professional military training to gain practical exposure to infantry operations, leadership responsibilities, and the functioning of an operational military formation.
During the visit, the cadets were familiarised with the history, daily routine, organisational structure, and operational responsibilities of an Infantry Battalion. The interaction provided them with valuable insights into the functioning of infantry units and the challenges faced by soldiers and officers in carrying out their operational duties.
The Officer Cadets also visited the Foreign Training Node, where they received detailed briefings on the planning and conduct of joint and foreign military exercises. The sessions highlighted the importance of military cooperation, interoperability, and coordination between armed forces during multinational training engagements.

The visit offered the future officers an opportunity to understand the responsibilities of junior military leaders, particularly in maintaining operational readiness, leading troops, and ensuring effective execution of assigned missions.

Such training visits form an important part of professional military education, bridging the gap between classroom instruction and practical military experience. The exposure is aimed at developing leadership qualities, operational awareness, and a deeper understanding of the Indian Army’s infantry formations among future officers.
