The conclave was chaired by Major General Maneesh Kukrety, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Madhya UP Sub Area, and focused on strengthening coordination between healthcare providers and the ECHS network to ensure better medical services for ex-servicemen and their dependents.
The event provided an important platform for discussions on improving healthcare delivery, addressing coordination challenges and ensuring timely, accessible and quality medical treatment for veterans and their families.
A key objective of the conclave was to enhance cooperation between ECHS authorities and empanelled hospitals, enabling smoother access to medical facilities and strengthening the overall healthcare support system available to former military personnel.
The participation of nearly 300 delegates reflected the importance of collaboration between military healthcare administrators, private healthcare institutions and the veteran community in addressing the evolving medical needs of ex-servicemen.

The Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) is a healthcare initiative of the Ministry of Defence that provides medical services to eligible retired Armed Forces personnel and their dependents through a network of ECHS polyclinics, service medical facilities and empanelled hospitals across India.
The conclave highlighted the Indian Army’s continued commitment to the welfare of veterans, recognising their years of dedicated service to the nation and the importance of providing reliable healthcare support after retirement.
By promoting closer coordination with empanelled hospitals and focusing on improvements in service delivery, the ECHS Annual Hospital Conclave 2026 reaffirmed the Armed Forces’ commitment to ensuring that veterans and their families receive the medical care and support they deserve.
