Eastern Command Celebrates 104th Raising Day

Kolkata, November 1, 2024 – The Eastern Command of the Indian Army celebrated its 104th Raising Day, marking over a century of service, valor, and dedication by the “Warriors of the East.” On this special occasion, Lt Gen RC Tiwari, Army Commander, Eastern Command, extended warm wishes to all ranks, veterans, and their families, recognizing their unwavering dedication to the nation. The celebrations were a tribute to the bravery and commitment of the Command’s personnel, past and present.

Eastern Command

In a solemn ceremony at the Eastern Command Headquarters, Chief of Staff Lt Gen RC Srikanth laid a wreath to honor the memory of the bravehearts who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. The tribute highlighted the Eastern Command’s enduring respect and gratitude for those who have protected the country’s borders and safeguarded its citizens at great personal cost.

Lt Gen Tiwari, while addressing the Eastern Command fraternity, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the ongoing contributions of soldiers, veterans, and their families. He acknowledged the vital role of the civilian community and the support of fellow countrymen, underscoring that the strength of the Indian Army lies in the solidarity between its forces and the people they serve.
