According to a defence spokesperson, the exercise served as a critical platform to validate the operational capabilities of integrated joint structures, focusing on vital aspects such as intelligence gathering, surveillance, reconnaissance, rapid mobilization, deployment, and operational logistics. It showcased the synergy required among the three services, highlighting their collective strength and operational readiness in addressing potential security challenges.

The exercise was monitored by senior officials, including Eastern Army Commander Lieutenant General RC Tiwari and Air Marshal IS Walia from the Eastern Air Command, who both praised the remarkable precision shown by the troops involved. Lt Gen Tiwari further emphasized the necessity of joint structures and mechanisms to foster effective collaboration among the Army, Navy, and Air Force.

For the first time on such a large scale in the Eastern Theatre, the exercise encompassed multi-domain integrated joint operations, bringing together advanced military technologies and systems. Participants demonstrated precision strike capabilities utilizing an array of high-tech equipment, ensuring mission success that involved state-of-the-art weapon systems such as the M-777 Howitzer and the Navy’s P-8I maritime patrol and reconnaissance aircraft. The exercise also included the deployment of swarm drones, first-person view (FPV) drones, and loitering munitions, alongside helicopters like the Chinook and Prachand, significantly boosting operational effectiveness.

The successful execution of ‘Poorvi Prahar’ not only reinforces the readiness of the armed forces but also serves as an assurance to the nation regarding its preparedness to tackle any future security threats. The comprehensive operation has underscored the value of civil-military integration, essential for the success of the forces in various operational contexts.
