During rehearsals over the beach on Saturday, a potential disaster was narrowly averted thanks to the quick thinking of a helicopter pilot. The rehearsal included a special formation display involving five helicopters when a bird suddenly flew directly toward one of the aircraft. The alert pilot was quick to react, skillfully maneuvering the helicopter to avoid what could have been a serious bird strike, all while maintaining coordination with the other helicopters in formation.

This incident underscores the high stakes involved in the demonstrations scheduled for Navy Day, which will showcase the operational capabilities of the Navy against the stunning backdrop of Odishaโ€™s coastline. Reports indicate that the Indian Navy plans to impress onlookers with a grand display of its strength, featuring over 24 warships and 40 aircraft, including helicopters and fighter jets. The operational demonstration will take place at the picturesque Blue Flag beach, highlighting the Navyโ€™s formidable maritime prowess.
