The advisory ensures that local and inter-state tourist bus routes will continue to operate without changes, allowing regular bus services from Bhubaneswar, Brahmagiri, and Konark to the Puri Municipality Bus Stand to proceed as usual.

To facilitate the celebrations and ensure public safety, certain areas of Puri have been designated as no-vehicle zones. Specifically, vehicles are prohibited from moving in the following stretches: from Penthakata Chhaka to Subash Bose Chhaka, from Lighthouse Chhaka to Digabareni Chhaka, and from Subash Bose Chhaka to Acharya Harihar Chhaka.

Significantly, this Navy Day will mark the first time the event is being celebrated along the Odisha coastline. The occasion will be graced by President Droupadi Murmu, who has agreed to serve as the chief guest. The festivities promise to be a grand affair, with an impressive display featuring at least 24 warships alongside 40 aircraft and helicopters, showcasing the operational capabilities of the Indian Navy.

The event aims to highlight the Navy’s diverse competencies, enhance maritime awareness among the local populace, and celebrate India’s rich maritime heritage. As preparations unfold, authorities are encouraging citizens and visitors to adhere to the traffic regulations to ensure a smooth and successful celebration.
