A group of officers, including nine from Friendly Foreign Countries (FFCs), has commenced specialized training on Low Intensity Conflict Operations (LICO) at the prestigious Counter Insurgency & Jungle Warfare School (CIJW) in Vairengte, Mizoram. This initiative aims to strengthen jointmanship and enhance military cooperation among participating nations.

Focus on Low Intensity Conflict Operations

The training program is designed to equip officers with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively manage and operate in low-intensity conflict environments. It covers a range of subjects, including:

  • Counter-insurgency tactics
  • Jungle warfare techniques

  • Survival skills in hostile terrains
  • Civic action and psychological operations
