Eligibility Criteria
1. Age Limit
- Born between 01 January 2005 and 01 July 2008 (inclusive)
- Maximum age at enrolment: 21 years
2. Marital & Pregnancy Status
- Only unmarried candidates are eligible.
- Female candidates must undertake not to get pregnant during the engagement period.
3. Educational Qualification
- 10th / Matriculation pass from a recognized board with minimum pass marks.
4. Musical Proficiency
- Must be able to perform one complete song, a preparatory tune, and musical notation (e.g., staff notation, Tonic Solfa, etc.).
- Must have proficiency in one or more instruments from the lists below:
List A (Western Classical Instruments):
Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Saxophone, French Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Baritone, Euphonium, Bass/Tuba
List B (Contemporary/Indian Instruments):
Keyboard, Guitar, Violin, Percussion/Drums, All Indian Classical Instruments
- Musical Experience Certificate (any one):
- Grade 5 or above from TCL, RSM, Berklee, KM Conservatory, etc.
- Diploma in Hindustani/Carnatic Music
- Certificates of performance/awards with staff notation ability
Medical Standards
- Height:
- Males: 162 cm
- Females: 152 cm (Relaxation for NE/Uttrakhand/Lakshadweep)
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age
- Chest:
- Males: 77 cm with 5 cm expansion
- Females: Minimum 5 cm expansion
- Vision: 6/12 each eye, correctable to 6/6
- Colour Vision: CP-II
- Other Conditions:
- No LASIK/PRK
- No pregnancy (females)
- No substance abuse
Selection Procedure

- Written Test in English (30 questions, 30 minutes)
- Adaptability Test-I
- Physical Fitness Test (PFT-I & II)
- 1.6 km run:
- Males: within 7 min
- Females: within 8 min
- Male Exercises: 10 Push-ups, 10 Sit-ups, 20 Squats
- Female Exercises: 10 Sit-ups (1.5 min), 15 Squats
- 1.6 km run:
- Adaptability Test-II
- Medical Examination (July 2025)
Pay and Benefits
- 1st Year Salary: ₹30,000/month
- 4th Year Salary: ₹40,000/month
- Seva Nidhi Package: ₹10.04 Lakhs (after 4 years)
- Life Insurance: ₹48 Lakhs (non-contributory)
- Medical & CSD Facilities: As per IAF rules
- Leave:
