Vice Admiral Rajesh Pendharkar, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief (FOC-in-C), Eastern Naval Command (ENC), interacted with personnel of the Eastern Fleet, also known as the Sunrise Fleet, during his visit under the ongoing operational exercise Eastern Sword.
Acknowledging the efforts of the fleet in sustaining safe and high-intensity operations, the Commander-in-Chief commended their professionalism and dedication in safeguarding India’s maritime interests in the eastern seaboard.
During the interaction, Vice Admiral Pendharkar stressed the importance of preparedness in the evolving security scenario, noting that readiness and adaptability remain crucial in countering emerging maritime challenges.
He also engaged with the sailors and officers on a wide range of operational issues, while emphasising the significance of continuous training, motivation, wellness, and healthy living in maintaining peak combat effectiveness.
