Then even in waiting room that guy was terrifying us by pointing onto other passengers, Look at that person, he can be G.T.O, look at that lady she can be psychologist’. LoL that guy has made us laugh like hell, though he was damn serious on his points. I have not seen him next day, probably he was screened out’ 😀

Today Indianarmy.nic.in released  Interview dates for Army Medical Crop Feb 2013 Batch at AH (R&R) DELHI Cantt. Interviews will start from 16 Jul 2012 till 9 Aug 2012. The notification of examination for Army Medical Crops(AMC) comes out in the month of August -September Every Year.

UES 2013 and 2014 Indian Navy notification is out now, the initial selection procedure is little bit different from regular entries, candidates who have applied for the UES-Navy will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in BE/B.Tech and selected candidates will get the opportunity to attend the Naval Campus Selection Teams preliminary interview , one who clears the preliminary interview will get the SSB Interview Call Letter.

What is Naval Campus Selection Team ??

This team consist of Indian Navy officers who are responsible to pick the right candidates for further rounds of  SSB Interview. Campus/Locations for preliminary interview are selected by MoD Navy, and it will be alerted to the shortlisted candidates by an e-mail or SMS. 
Naval campus selection team comprise of the most talented officers from India Navy who will check you from top to bottom to judge you and check your suitability for further rounds, hence you are required to be smart enough to grab this opportunity. 

What will happen in Naval Campus Selection ?? 

Mostly the campus for this process is used to be a college or School, shortlisted candidates will go through series of test which are required to be pass by them for further process. 
Events : 
  • Seniors officers will address the candidates and tells them about the Indian Navy and the agenda for the day.
  • You will be lucky enough to listen their motivation speech, they will try more and more candidates to join Indian Armed Forces as an officer. 
  • Candidates will be allotted with chest numbers or roll numbers.
  • Kick start of the process. 
What may comes in test ?? 
  1. It will start with the written aptitude + technical test, it will be a very basic test and with little preparation you can score good marks in the written. 
  2. One who clears the written test will go for the further round, next round can be Picture Perception and Discussion Test PPDT. 
  3. Personal Interview: Selected candidates may go through a short personal interview by Navy officers.

  • Try to perform well in all test, if you fail do not get disheartened, life is full of opportunities.

Indian Navy invites unmmaried male candidates for grant of Short Service Commission [SSC] in Executive Branch (Information Technology ) of the Indian Navy for Dec 2012 Course at INA, Ezimala, Kerala.

Eligibility: 

Educational Qualification :

  • BE/B.tech (Computer Science/Computer Engg/IT)
  • BSc(IT)
  • M.tech(Comp Science)
  • MSc(Computer)
  • BCA/MCA
Note: Not qualified and Final year students are not eligible 
Age: 
19 and half to 25 years born between 02 Jan 1988 to 01 Jul 1993( both dates inclusive) 

Selection Procedure :

  • Candidate will be shortlisted for SSB interview based on their performance in highest degree they have .
  • SSB interviews will be scheduled from July-Nov 2012 onward. 

How to Apply: 

  • Candidates are to apply ‘e-application’ (Online) from nausena-bharti.nic.in. Online link go live from  07 Jul 12 till  22 Jul 12.
  • After submitting the form, a ‘Application Number’ will be generated and appear on the printout of the form. If the system does not generate the Application Number, it is an indication of non-acceptance of Application by the system.
  • Print two copies of the online Application Form having the system generated Application Number. One copy of  this Application Form is  to be duly signed and mailed (posted) to Post Box No. 04, Chanakyapuri,  New Delhi – 110 021.
  • A superscription is to be made on envelope: ONLINE APPLICATION NO.______APPLICATION FOR SSC X(INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY) BRANCH- DEC 2012 COURSE Qualification ______ Percentage _____%. 
  • Attach the following documents:- Self attested photograph, Attested photo copies of 10th & 12th class certificates along with Mark Sheets, other educational certificates and mark sheets of all semester/years.
Note: 

  1. Application is to be posted through normal post. Application sent by Speed Post/Registered Post/Courier/e-mail will not be accepted.
  2. Final receipt of  the printout of the Online Application Form with system generated Application Number and all documents as mentioned above if received by 31 Jul 12 will be the final CONFIRMATION of receipt of your Application at IHQ MoD (Navy). Hence, only filling the application Online/generation of Application Number does not imply that the candidate has fulfilled all the criteria given in the advertisement.

CONFUSING SRT SITUATIONS

Situation Reaction Test also known as SRT is one of the tests the candidates will face during the Psychological Tests at SSB. The SSB procedure is same for all no matter if you are going for Army, Air Force or Navy. SRT is a set of 60 situations written in a booklet,  you are required to write the response to each situation on your answer sheet under 30 mins, so basically, you get 30 secs for each situation. The time limit is the not the only thing which makes the Situation Reaction Test complicated, it is also our brain which might think of too many responses at the same time and try to find the best response by manipulating things. This is the reason most of the candidates are not able to attempt more than 30-40 SRTs.

We are posting few situations from SRT which confuse us a lot and actually come in SSB Psychology Tests, note that there is no wrong or right answer in SRT, but the quality of answer matters, answers or reactions depend on the individual’s personality, surrounding, learnings and other things. There are different ways to tackle a situation in real life but a person with OLQs always choose the correct and efficient way to do it, again there may be 10 efficient ways to solve a particular situation.

Tips -How to give a reaction ??  

  • You are not a Superman: Defence does not want supermen, so try to be normal and write something which you ( a common man, not a superman) can do in real life. 
  • Keep it short, the psychologist has a lot of others things to do: Keep the reactions short and too the point, even if you think you are missing some actions, never exceed your lines.
  • Write what is possible, in short, and easy manner. Don’t make others get bored reading your reactions. 
  • Be fast: Think fast, write to the point, attempt all 60 SRTs.
  • Think first:  Read the situation first and think what you could do in such a situation, responses will come automatically.

AFCAT Hall Ticket 2012

AFCAT 2/2012 for July 2013 course came with few changes, unlike last time candidates can apply online as well as offline for AFCAT 2/2012. This time hall ticket/admit card for AFCAT is going to come through e-mail, one must be careful while entering his/her e-mail id while applying offline. Candidates who have applied online will get the AFCAT hall ticket on the same e-mail id from which they have registered , offline candidates will get the hall ticket on the e-mail id they have written in the AFCAT application form.

Expected date of issue of AFCAT hall tickets: 5 August 2012

Acceptance of AFCAT application :

Online : Log in to careerairforce.nic.in candidate section, enter your registered e-mail id and password. After log in check the left hand side of the screen.If will see the application status as : Application Submitted to IAF means you have successfully registered.












Offline: Offline candidates will get their hall tickets on their respective email id provide in the application form by them. There is no way to confirm your successful submission of the application form. 
Note:
1. It is suggested to apply online to have a glitch free submission of the AFCAT application .
2. Do not apply online and offline or two time with any mode, it may lead to rejection of your application form. 



What IAF Says:

“AFCAT 2/2012 ADMIT CARDS MAY BE GENERATED AFTER 05 AUG 2012“

  1. After the last date for receipt of applications, candidates who have successfully submitted their applications would be allotted AFCAT centres automatically as per a pre-determined logic. Changes in allotted AFCAT centers would not be entertained under any circumstances.
  2. Please login to your account and take a printout of the Admit Card and Identification Card. Affix a recent colour passport size photograph as submitted in the online format and complete the finger print and signature columns. Thereafter, obtain attestation by the College Principal/ a Gazetted Officer in both the cards and bring them to the AFCAT centre on the day of the Examination. The Identification Card would be retained at the AFCAT centre whereas the Admit Card would be returned to you. Preserve the Admit Card carefully as you would be required to bring the same to Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) if called for further testing process.

How To Prepare For CDSE 2012 – 2013

Combined Defence ServicesExamination is conducted by UPSC twice very year. Next CDSE is going to happen on 16th Sep 2012.The examination comprises of two stages, the first stage consists of a written test, and those who qualify the written test are called for interview by the Services Selection Boards(SSBs).

Section wise Difficulty Analysis :

Elementary Mathematics: The difficulty level is average overall , the level of questions are from 10th standard ,few of them are little advanced but on the whole it is from 10th standard. But again it is not simple enough to attend without any preparation, if you have a good hand on Maths then you will easily solve most of them.

Most of the candidates find themselves comfortable with the level of difficulty, but they are mostly uncomfortable with the time allotted to solve 100 questions in 2 hours . If you are lacking practice then you may find it difficult to solve more than 50 questions in 2 hours, but with proper practice you can also solve more than 80 questions within 2 hours.

  • Mensuration(18)
  • Geometry(17)
  • Trigonometry(16)
  • Logarithm(02)
  • Statistics(11)

English: This is the easiest section in CDSE with 120 questions in 2 hours, one with above average knowledge in English can score maximum in this section. One should always try to get the maximum marks in this section because it is less difficult when comparing with other sections.

  • Comprehension (20)
  • Sentence Rearrangement(20)
  • Synonyms Antonyms(20+20)
  • Spotting Error(20)
General Knowledge: This section consist 120 questions with 2 hours duration. This is the toughest section for most of the candidates, level of questions is certainly higher than questions in other sections, one should attempt know questions and avoid guessing. If you are weaker in this part then try to grab maximum marks in other two sections.

  • Current Affairs  (33)
  • Indian History(14)
  • Geography(20)
  • Politics(15)
  • Economy(04)
  • General Science(33)
  • Computer(01)

TIPS:

  • Refer to previous question papers and have a hang of such type of questions .
  • Prepare from a good preparation book, solved questions are worth than just previous questions. 
  • Avoid guessing , there is a -ve marking scheme in CDSE, 0.33 dedication for one wrong answer. 
  • Attempt more question in your stronger section and easier sections. 
  • Keep a perfect time management, do not waste time in lengthy questions, specially in elementary mathematics. 
  • Keep a note of shortcuts for solving maths problems, hence save considerable time. 
  • Start preparing in  advance , there are lot of things to be prepared for CDSE.

UES NAVY Notification July 2013 – 2014

Candidates in pre final(2014) year and final year(2013) of BE/Btech can apply for TECHNICAL/ EXECUTIVE branches in Navy under University Entry Scheme (UES) for the course commencing in July 2013 and July 2014.   

Eligibility:

Education Qualification : Applicatn must be studying( 3rd and 4th year) in a recognised university and should have minimum 60% aggregate. 
Check the advertisement for correct and more details about the educational eligibility .

Selection Procedure: 

1. Navy will shortlist applicants for Naval Campus selection, only shortlisted applicants will get the call for Naval Campus selection, shortlisting depends on the eligibility, number of vacancies and your percentage. 
2. You will be called for Naval Campus selection at  your own expenses at centres decided by IHQ-MoD (Navy).

3. Candidates who will pass the Naval Campus selection will get the call letter to attend SSB at Bangalore/Bhopal/Coimbatore, between Dec 2012 to Apr 2013 for final year engineering students and Apr 2013 to Jul 2013 for pre-final students .


How can I apply ? 

  • Candidates are required to apply online, multiple registration will result in cancellation of  candidature. 
  • Candidates can apply from 27 June 2012  till 16 Jul 2012 ( last date). 
  • After submitting the online application you will get an Application number which confirms the successful submission of the form. 
  • Take  two printouts of the application form , keep one with you and another has to be submitted at the time of Naval Campus Selection .
  • Do not forget to do the necessary signature on the application form.
