How to Apply:
- Visit joinindianarmy.nic.in to fill the online registration form.
- After filling all the details submit the application, save the application after submission and before taking printout, you will not be able to generate the application form again if you do not save it .
- Get two copies of the application printout. One copy of print out application duly signed and affixed photograph attested by Gazzetted Officer there on and attested copies of 10th Class Certificate, 12th Class certificate alongwith Degree/Provisional Degree of B.E/B.Techor marksheet of eight semesters of B.E/B.Tech are to be forwarded to “Additional Directorate General of Recruiting (Rtg-6), TGC Section, West Block-III, RK Puram, New Delh-110066.” Forwarding these applications the words “Online application for 40th SSC (Tech) Men/11th SSC (Tech) Women and the Roll No.……….. “ must be written boldly outside the envelope.
- The second copy of the printout of online application form and all the above certificates in original along with two attested photocopies are to be carried out to the Selection Center by the candidate.

I have consolidated mark sheet( Marks of all semesters together).whether it is enough ?? The real problem is that my 7th semester mark sheet is missing.what I have to do ?? Am I eligible to come with the consolidated mark sheet ?

yes you are eligible and if you get recommended and join academy then your admission will be on provisional basis and you need to submit a draft of some amount every month. . . if you fail to submit it within 12 weeks with the provisional or original degree certificate then you will be sent back from the academy and they will not refund the money you submitted in form of draft. if you will submit it within time then they will return you the full amount. . .
and it is not final mark-sheet, you need to submit the provisional degree or original degree within 12 weeks of joining the academy.

I was not allowed to take SSB in Bhopal, I was sent home after document verification, no TA was given. Because I have done Engineering in IT, so be careful IT guys do not apply SSC wait for TGC-117 because IT guys are eligible for TGC but not SSC.

but B.tech last year exam generally occured in may in all colleges including IITs ,NITs and other state colleges so they are not eligible.why they include B.tech final year in this course?

I’ve just applied for the Indian army and when i click submit i received an application where the architect columns i.e., the last 2 columns which r not meant for us have been filled as 0.00 automatically. so i advice u to leave a blank space(as it is)the 7th Sem column and try to submit. if it doesn’t accept then just simply fill the boxes with 0’s and u shouldn’t possibly have any problem.

Answer to Q 1. NO u cannot modify ur application and also u cannot re-apply. if u try to re-apply ur application would be rejected.
Answer to Q 2. I don’t think there is any cutoff for the 12th marks as it is clearly mentioned in the advertisement that selection is totally dependent on interview but not on the marks obtained. What i also think is if u have 55% then i think u’ll be on a safe side.

the example in this page is foolish. how can someone can have a semester marks as 70? 70/9.5=7.36 i know that but my marks in 1st year is 669/1100. Now do u want me to do 669/9.5? i get 60.8. and this wont be a CGPA. such foolish example. and these SSB ppl never give a right directions for the applicants.

Dharmik there are two types of commission in the Indian Armed Forces viz. SSC & PC.
1. SSC (Short Service Commission)- service of 8-14 years in the forces.
2. PC (Permanent Commission)- a minimum service of 22 years in the forces.
And the work you do in the forces will be irrespective of the type of commission. Hope you got it.
